A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
Our Story
I think it helps if I think of this as "Our Story" rather than "My Story", as you may be able to see yourself in some of the following words.
The Blackness of Future. The feeling of hopelessness and convincing ourselves that will never feel joy ever again. The sense of existential doom and complete consumption of the physiological stress of panic. We have moments of feeling completely lost, alone, and without a light to guide us at times. I know what it's like to feel completely lost and stuck in life. We all have these moments.
Life is contrast though, and we must wear the world lightly my friends. To be patient and compasionate to ourselves while we understand what to do with these feelings and how to tend to them. As much as you know the the darkness, you know the light as well.
Don't forget you have experienced the other side too!
You know the hopefulness of future, the beauty and awe of simplicity, the preciousness of impermanence and the washing away of worry in a state of true awareness.
Our story is a story of hope and of never giving up. Ever.
In 2018 my mission started to help others with their emotional wellbeing while also continuing to understand my own. My YouTube Channel grew, my podcast started and I began speaking at schools and corporations. This mission isn't about pathology or symptoms. It's recognizing the human condition and getting in touch with our true, authentic self.
Fun Facts & Thoughts: I bungee jumped in Switzerland. Backpacked through eastern Europe. I have three brothers, one sister and two awesome parents. Did my first stand up set in 2021. I meditate everyday. I spend as much time off screens as possible. I love camping, swimming and cliff jumping. I've been playing guitar and drums since 2008. Music is the obsession and unquenchable thirst in my life. The sky is free.

My Work
What I really mean is our work. Nothing exists in isolation and the true meaning of this work comes from being of service to and working with others.
Through Keynote Speaking, Coaching and Podcasting, I'm here to share the true reality of Being Human. This means living in pure awe, wonder and gratitude as we follow and bathe in the golden sun. This also means living in the raging storms as do our best to navigate and find our way or just hold on tight.
Whether it's by humour, mindfulness, music, or profanity, all of these goodies are used to lift people up in those difficult moments and guide them to realize two simple truths: You're human. You're awesome.
Now, with all that being said, here are some ego inflating stats that I'm both proud of and cringe at sharing:
Speaking: Reached over 250,000 people speaking at over 100+ conferences, schools and events since 2018.
Coaching & Courses: Over 150+ people have taken the Conquer Anxiety Course and I've been personally coaching people 1-1 since 2018. helping them recover and discover their true, authentic selves.
YouTube & My Podcast: 30 million+ reached around the world supporting those struggling with depression and anxiety. My main channel (Scott Ste Marie) with over 300,000 subscribers and music channel (Expression Music) with 100,000 subscribers. Yay clicks!

"My mental health issues are essentially obsolete because of Scott. Ever since he has given me the tools to overcome anxiety and depression I feel like a weight has been lifted."
Corinne T. - New Jersey, USA

"...relaxation techniques, mindfulness, CBT and diet. Scott taught me how to calm my body and mind down which helped tremendously in the healing process.
David F. - Budapest, Hungary

"Scott is the most sweetest and understanding person I have ever met. The course is really helping me write my feelings more and makes me feel like family :)
Islam A. - Michigan, USA

His session connected with all employees who attended and weeks later we received feedback that employees were still using the tools he provided. Our company hit the mark by providing Scott Ste Marie as a resource and I would encourage other companies to do the same. If you want to invest in your employee’s wellbeing, Scott should be top of your list."
Melanie Britton, Carfax Canada

His professionalism along with his sense of humour, lightens the room and always creates a safe space. He is honest, enthusiastic, and a very engaging communicator."
Patricia Smallbone, Manager of Parent Relations at Appleby College

From the first moments of the presentation, the audience was hooked, and many commented that they couldn’t believe the hour went by so quickly. Scott understood his audience, spoke to them in a language they understood and captured their attention. What else can you ask for in a speaker."
Lotem Baram, Guidance Counsellor - Pickering College
Why I Do It
Sometimes I feel I don't really have a choice. I love helping and working with people. We're all so amazingly unique yet simultaneously share so much of the same needs and aspirations. After all of these years, I am still in awe of the strength and perseverance of the human spirit.
In addition to my closeness to the human experience, I am both empathetic and compassionate to those who deal with depression and anxiety. I know the feeling of being in that place but also know how difficult it can be to climb out.
My work involves sharing my personal story of recovery and healing while also holding the ladder for those on the climb to the sunshine. I hope to talk to you soon or speak to your audience.
